Music Friday 3

Today's post is something that hits home for everyone. Loss. "Save A Place For Me" by Matthew West reaches the depths of my heart when he opens the song........."Don't be mad, if I cry. It just hurts so bad sometimes. Cause everyday it's sinking in and I just have to say goodbye all over again." Earlier this summer my hometown Fremont, NE was hit hard with a tragic car crash the took the lives of three high school boys. To be honest I have dreaded this day ever since it happened. The day when I felt called to blog about it. All the emotions come flooding back in. How can you tell someone how to grieve a loss when you're not sure how to yourself? How can you be there for someone when you're three hours away? For me it was to try and keep myself occupied as much as possible so I didn't have time to think about it. But it's time to replace my tears with smiles. It's time for me to face these emotions head on. With music. Music can say everything that I want to but have no idea how to. Maybe there is something in your life that you just can't quite let go of. Maybe it's someone. Matthew West is singing to his loved ones "save a place for me, save a place for me. We will be with them before we even realize it. "Cause Everyday it's sinking in..." everyday it sinks in the stronger we get. And when we don't have the strength to overcome this obstacle, or to make it up the hill just remember His hand is always outreached towards you. You just have to reach back....
