A Modern Day Trial

So much violence, so much hate, so much destruction. The list goes on and on. You can hardly sit down to watch the news without you're stomach churning anymore. With the Zimmerman trial and the Hernandez trial it really makes you wonder if justice is served and if it ever will be. But there was a trial long ago that would put these to shame. One that would not just be on the news but it would be the news. This trial took place during the first century AD. With a man named Jesus Christ. You see this man claimed to be a king, but not just any king, he was the king of all kings. Even worse is that he preformed miracles like making the dead walk and the lame talk, he opened the eyes of the blind to see. He lived a perfect life and yet WE wanted him dead. He was put on trial where WE the jury said death was not enough so WE tourtured him and abused him and mocked him. And when he was hanging on the cross he yelled out the words "Father forgive them, for they know not what they have done." And as blood flowed out of his lifeless body he looked down at me and you and he said I want that man. A innocent man willingly took my place on the cross on that day. And he can take your place on it also, you just have to ask. Don't let his death go to waste.
