An Empty Lot

Sitting in an empty tent with nothing to do really makes you take in all of your surroundings. I see grass, I see trees, I see a few people strolling by, but above all I see an almost empty parking lot across from me. It amazes me how yesterday it was packed full with cars, people, and tailgates. Infact the parking lot was so sought after that people were paying money to get inside of it. Then there's today where I don't think you could pay people to park there. Why is that? Is it because there was a drastic change in the appearance of the lot? Or maybe because there's no game today. You see when there is a game everyone wants to be there, it is the place to be, they pay to be there. Church is like our game. When it's church day everyone is gunho about being there and sometimes we put money into the offering plate, kinda like paying to be in the lot, but as soon as Monday hits and there's no "game" the lot is untouchable. Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not big on religion but I am big on having a relationship with Christ. So I'm not saying that if you aren't going to the "lot" or church everyday that your a bad person, what I am trying to say is how come when we go to church or minds are on Christ and so often when we leave we push him to the side till the next "gameday"?
