A Tuesday Workout
Today for our running workout we had table pushes. Table pushes are where you and your partner push a white folding table across the field with 180 pounds on top of it. We did 4 reps of 30 yards, 6 reps at 20 yards, and 8 reps at 10 yards and at the end we had six 10 yard sprints. You see with table pushes you have to use your energy right. Push to hard with one arm and the table flys that way, if your butt gets to high in the air you start pushing the table into the ground. So to stay low and drive with your knees is a challenge in its self. The point I am try to get across to you guys is that in order to succeed in this exercise your body has to work as one. Your arms, your legs, your core, and your will power HAS to work together. As disciples of Christ we have to work as one. Everything in our body has to be focused on the goal at hand. If our lips, and our brain, and our body work as one but our hearts refuse to join the team we are useless. If our time, and our wallet, and our resources are on board but our love isn't. We.....Are.....Useless. Every single fiber in our body needs to feel that burn, it's not enough to just put forth lip service. We as Christians need to change the culture of being a lukewarm follower. I'm not saying to be perfect because we all fall short on the daily but it's not how many times we get knocked down that defies us, it's how many times can we pull ourselves out of the mud for the sake of God's kingdom, for the sake of the coming of the ONE TRUE KING, and for the sake of the the lifeless, blameless, and perfect body that dangled from the cross for you. That's what defies you. When your body starts working as one, you'll be surprised at the limits of which your body can achieve.
